Fast, rapid, rapid prototyping: It used to be a tedious task to get a first spatial impression of an article through a 3D model. Today it is only a short process. We consistently focus on development-accelerating rapid prototyping. In no time at all, we create a true-to-scale 3D prototype without having to design and build extra costly aluminum or steel molds. This puts us in a position to work on the practical pattern in advance and gain valuable insights for the later production of molds. This knowledge flows directly into the subsequent mold making and saves you the often very costly changes to new tools.
ELASTIC AND HARD PROTOTYPES IN THE SHORTEST TIME!
In vacuum casting, a stereolithography model is first created based on the 3D article data. Subsequently, on this basis, a silicone mold is produced, which is filled under vacuum conditions with special polyurethane resins. Even the most complex designs are realized, such as undercuts, tunneling and breakthroughs. Even multi-component parts do not represent an obstacle. With 3D printing and Freeformer, there is even the possibility of producing first molded parts in hard or soft without any form. When using a Freeformers even the thermoplastic material, also TPE, can be used, which is to be used later in the series in the injection molding.
- Elastic prototypes can be supplied in a hardness range of 30 – 90 Shore A.
- The prototypes are dimensionally stable and can be used for initial leak tests on your application.
- With a silicone mold in vacuum casting approx. 20 – 25 casts are possible.
