Our logistics do not start when the finished products are shipped. We start here much earlier. Already at the beginning of the order, to be exact. We interpret logistics as a holistic process for maximum customer satisfaction. Since we always see individual customer requirements as the linchpin of the entire process, we flexibly align our entire logistics chain for each customer.
How this is done in practice is illustrated by the following example. The delivery schedule is received electronically via EDI and immediately processed in the ERP system for production planning, which also includes the planning of safety stock and optimal warehousing. Fixed packaging regulations including container management enable efficient internal transport. In shipping, we use standardized goods tags on the load units. After the goods have finally been picked up by a logistics service provider, our customer is informed via remote data transmission (EDI) with a shipping advance notice or Advanced Shipping Notification (ASN) about the goods in transit.
Why all this meticulousness in logistics? Because this way we deliver the right product to the right place at the right time in the right quantity, the right quality, and at the right cost, perfectly compliant with the 6R-rule.
