In Multi-Compontent injection molding, we focus on hard / soft composite parts or material pairings. We specialize in the production of complex molded parts in combination with directly molded sealing lips made of TPE-S or TPE-V. By means of multi-component injection molding, finished parts can be produced on an injection molding machine with 2 injection units and only one clamping unit, which securely adhere to one another by positive locking or mechanical anchoring. This is due to the material pairing and construction. We manufacture preferably with turntable technology, insert and alternatively also with transfer or core retraction technology.
2K INJECTION MOLDING IN ONLY ONE OPERATION – SMART AUTOMATION
The parts are produced efficiently in 2K injection molding or multi-component injection molding and thus cost-effectively in only one operation. The coordination of machine, tool concept and material is particularly important in 2K injection molding. The injection units must work in harmony, but must always be independently controllable. In the future, 2K molded parts and multi-component parts will play an increasingly important role in the market. SPT therefore relies on this technology and tries to manufacture large-volume components in Germany in the long term using smart automation concepts.
In the two-component injection molding process (multi-component) we combine thermoplastics with thermoplastic elastomers (TPE). The injection molding machine has usually two injection units or a second unit are separately connected to larger injection molds. Our experienced installers as process specialists match the machine parameters to the complex multi-component tools and material pairings, thus ensuring optimum composite molded parts.
